| Damm, it's been more than 8 months since I've made contact with the rest of the world, kinda. I've just been really busy. It's almost like I'm back home in Hawaii. Stuck in a small place trying to rule the world. The whole auto industry has been good, so has the bar business. I just can't seem to fail. One of my good friends Oliver has told me that, "you can't fail, you just don't know how to." The more I hear it, the more I've noticed it's been true.
When I started djing, I had never touched a turntable before. Now I'm in demand at clubs in SF and around the bay area. In the next few months I'm starting my own company that will basically find and help bring up talents of up and coming dj's. I know I'm not the best in technicality nor music choice, but I know how to market and I'm decent at what I do. I've even been offered to work at a radio station, but I declined that because they couldn't pay me what I wanted.
I've never tuned a car before, until I've started working at SRM. Now I sit on a dyno and tune cars all day. Everybody's been happy with what I've done for them. I'm not expirenced enough to where I can claim I'm a real tuner, but it'll get there soon. We should have a couple of clients in magazines soon.
Enough rambling for now. I'm headed to bed. I have to be at the bar in 6 hours to catch my bus to the giants game.

| Alrighty, I decided to post something. I've just been very busy as of october, it's rare that I'm even home at times. Work is work. Seems that even now, we're still busy after the holiday season. Weird. I talked to a lot of people at other dealers and they're just dead. We're boomin though. Non stop work since the beginning of december. November was kinda slow, but december picked up a lot. Even now in the new year it's packed in the garage. The speed shop is almost up and running. It's either me or Jay that'll be running that shop, but I'm sure I'll get the bid since I have more expirence in that area. Although I might not because I'm the fastest guy in the shop right now and I make the shop the most money. We got the 4 wheel dyno in and been playing around with that on our race car. I haven't run in any track events lately, but I'm sure I'll get around to one after I get our car running right.
B st is going good. I started Djing on friday nights. Just regular hip hop music. It's funny, ever since I started djing, I've learned more about music structure than when I took band in middle school. It was pretty dead on friday nights when I started to dj, but now things are picking up, which is good since we're trying to change the image of a late 30's crowd to a more young early to late 20's crowd. The last weekend of october was my first gig at the bar. I didn't know nothing. I had no expirence. But now after 2 months or so, I've already been invited to do weddings and to work at various bars in the city. A few dj's told me that I picked it up so fast it's unbelieveable. They said after a year when I get better, that I should try doing guest spots in clubs and the like. Hell after I few years I might just change my carrer. Who knows where this is going to take me. I just do it for fun. I noticed that local artists always give me their cd's to spin. I have yet to find one good track out of the 10 or so cd's that I've gotten.
Like Wendell said, me + women + cars don't mix. I lose my mana everytime I start dating. That's why it's back to the single life for me. For a while anyway. | | |
| Holy shit, it's been a while. Still alive and breathing. Picked up a 2nd job working the door at B st Tavern on saturday nights. Anyway, i'll post something later when I feel more alive. | | |
